Less than a year after the release of the Batman: The Animated Series Blu-Ray remaster, we are getting a full HD remaster of the also massively popular, Batman Beyond. Fans have been lauding Batman Beyond for years since its cancellation. Asking to see Terry and Bruce in any possible form. While there is a Batman Beyond comic book series currently running, it doesn’t get nearly the attention it deserves. So at this year’s 20th year anniversary panel at SDCC, WB announced they would be releasing the remaster this October 29th!
This new remastered edition will include the fantastic Return Of The Joker animated film, a chrome pained Batman Beyond Funko Pop, all-new featurettes, and a llenticular art cards!
Strangely enough, only 41 of 52 episodes will be remastered. Polygon is reporting that this is due to 11 being “irreparably damaged” over the years, and will be using upscaled versions in their place. So while it won’t be a 100% remastered collection, it’ll be close enough.
Let us know if you’re excited for this Batman Beyond remaster. We here at Nerd Hall sure are (and patiently waiting for a reboot.)
