Live-Action TEEN TITANS Coming In 2018

We finally got confirmation that a live-action Teen Titans show will be coming to us in 2018. The show will be called Titans, and follow a young Dick Grayson as well as many other Titans. It’s not clear which other Titans from the animated series will be featured on the show, but Chief Creative Officer of D.C. Geoff Johns tweeted this,

So it seems Johns will be working on the series along with many other writers who have worked on CW’s The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl. Though unlike its CW counterparts, Titans will not premiere on television. TV Insider reports the show will stream on a DC direct-to-consumer branded digital service. It’s still unclear how much Titans will have to do with the Supergirl/Flash/Arrow universe, but it may be safe to say we’ll see some characters we’ve already come to know and love move over to the new show. A popular choice among fans is The Flash‘s Kid Flash/Wally West played by Keiynan Lonsdale.

There isn’t much word on what DC’s new streaming service will include or cost, but it seems like new and original content is already in the works. Another fan favorite series will also premiere its third season there, Young Justice. The outcry of fans has been heard, and now DC will be directly offering a new third season of Young Justice via its new streaming service.

Not sure when mention of Titans will begin to hit the CW DC-verse, but it might be a good time to keep your eyes open for clues on upcoming Titans characters. Something tells us a certain green shapeshifter may be eluded to at some point.

Zach Snyder Shares Photo Of Amber Heard As Mera

Early today Zach Snyder shared this photo of Amber Heard emerging from the sea as Mera, Queen of Atlantis. Immediately you notice the striking detail in her costume. The deep greens, and intricate designs that very much emulate that of the comic book ensemble (crown included.)

Heard will appear as Mera in next year’s Justice League, and is set to follow up the role in the standalone Aquaman film.

Below is the concept art for Mera designed by Ian Joyner:

Title Of Solo Batman Movie Revealed (Sort Of)

image

Earlier today in an interview with Associated Press, Affleck revealed that the name of the upcoming Batman film will be appropriately titled, The Batman. He also mentions that this is the title they’re going with “for now” so it’s possible that it will change at some point in the future.

Affleck also mentions that the script writing process is going really well, and we’ll be updated as the process moves forward.

What do you think of The Batman as the title for the upcoming solo film? Too basic or does it say all it needs to? Let us know!

Batffleck Gets A New Batsuit

Zach Snyder tweeted this photo from the set of Justice League. Today is also the last day of filming for the upcoming movie which means we got a shot of this new tactical batsuit. Seems a little more rigid, a little more ready for a firefight. The former batsuit was much more practical for easier movement and hiding in the shadows. This suit is clearly preparation for what one could assume will be a serious beatdown. Steppenwolf perhaps? Time will tell.

Justice League is set for release November 17, 2017
