On March 21st we’re going to truly see if Barry Allen has quick feet. We will finally be able to gander with glee the highly anticipated Flash/Supergirl musical crossover episode!
Darren Criss (Glee, A Very Potter Musical) will take on the role of the Music Meister, a villain originally portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris in the Batman: Brave and The Bold animated series. As we no-so-subtlety eluded to earlier, fans of Glee will be elated with this very small cast reunion (Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist were also characters on the show.) According to Entertainment Weekly, our heroes will be trapped in an alternate reality where life is exactly like a movie music (probably chock full of La La Land references as well.)
The crossover is set to begin toward the end of the March 20th episode of Supergirl and run through the majority of March 22st’s episode of The Flash on The CW.
The first season of Supergirl has had more than a rocky start over at CBS. With inconsistent ratings and mixed reviews it’s no surprise that the end of the season would also come with some big decisions. Many of us that watch Arrow, Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow on CW know that Supergirl would be a perfect addition to that cast of heroes. We saw how well Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) work together in the fantastic crossover episode (pictured below), and cannot disagree that her and her team would work well in the CW-verse.
It’ll be exciting to see how Supergirl makes the transition and in what way will the shows we already love will crossover. Will she still be on a separate earth? Will there be a Supergirl of Earth One? What do you think? Let us know.
We’re just glad Supergirl wasn’t dropped all together and is making the logical move to a network that has an already flourishing and established DC TV universe.
